Regine Velasquez starts her newest weekly musical show on GMA 7, titled “Songbird“, which airs its pilot episode this upcoming Thursday, May 15.
Songbird is a weekly musical special which will feature the most popular songs and compositions of the world’s greatest singers and composers every Thursday nights on Philippine prime time TV, right after GMA’s telebabad block .
On its pilot episode, Regine will do her version of Barbara Streissand’s hits. Dennis Trillo and Gian Magdangal will be the guests on that special night.
In an interview, Regine shares more about her new show. “Nakakatuwa po siya, kasi thematic po siya,” she said. “Every week, there’s a different theme, we feature different artists, songwriters, genre; we even do movie themes. So every week is different. We also have different guests for each week depending on what theme ang meron sa week na ‘yon. Ibinabagay rin po namin ang aming guests.”
